IThe particulars of its organization functions & dutiesInstitute of Hotel Management is established in Yamunanagar by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India & Tourism Department, Haryana, it is registered under Societies Registration Act of 1860 to impart training in modern and scientific techniques of management of modern hotels and catering establishments of all kinds.
IIThe powers and duties of its officers and employeeThe Principal of the Institute is the academic and administrative head who is duly assisted by a team of faculty members, for the day to day functioning of the academic activities. The accountant, assistant assist the Principal in day to day functioning in administration, accounts and other matters.
IIThe procedure followed in the decision making process, including channels of supervision and accountability.It is autonomous in character and has Board of Governors consisting of eminent persons from the Government Central & State, industry and their directives/decisions are to be implemented as per the guidelines of Department of Tourism, Government of Haryana, under whose administrative and financial control this Institute is functioning. The Principal Secretary (Tourism) of Government of Haryana is the chairman of the Institute.
IVThe norms set by it for the discharge of its functions.The State Government issues such instructions to the Institute as it may consider necessary from time to time for the furtherance of the objects and for proper functioning and control and the Institute has to comply with the instructions with due approval of the Board of Governors
VThe rules, regulations, instructions, manuals and records, held by it or under its control or used by its employees for discharging of its functions.The Bye-Laws, Memorandum of Association, Staff Rules & Regulations, Recruitment Rules, Control & Appeal Rules, Conduct Rules, Medical Rules, Gratuity and Terminal Benefit Rules, etc., Government of Haryana rules as Mutatis Mutandis applicable to State Government employees.
